The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 is one amongst a whole host of labour law legislations in India which were enacted to give employees various benefits and regulate the practice of employing contract labour to get around the labour welfare legislations. In a country like India the importance of welfare legislations, especially in the field of labour laws cannot be over emphasized. This book contains cases reported till December, 2017 from the major labour law journals of the country and also contains the major rules and regulations, etc.
